Before everything there was an infinite darkness. This infinite darkness is sometimes believed to have its own form, but it is not certain. All that is known for certain is it takes up any space with no light.
One day, an infinite light emerged and started burning away the darkness, which the infinite darkness took as an act of war. This began the Battle of the Dark and the Light. However, the Dark never stood a chance against the Light, but the Light had a conscience, and it took this chance to strike a deal. The Light would break itself apart and form splotches of light in the Dark providing an eternal brightness in the sky above.
The Light, now the Stars, and the Dark have since made peace. But eventually, they grew tired of each other and decided to come together to create Percessi and Dystron, two opposing beings for the Light and Dark’s entertainment.
Percessi was a being representing all life, which he created in the form of galaxies, with thousands of solar systems, each housing their own planets. The Light noticed Percessi's progress and as a gift created suns for each solar system, giving the planets something to follow for eternity.
Dystron was a being representing destruction and death. Dystron loathed Percessi throughout their æons together. His spite grew immensely for his counterpart, so, He went to Percessi’s most developed planet, with the intent to ruin it: Earth. Percessi’s most prized planet, His masterpiece. Dystron took power from the earth’s core and drew volcanoes up from the crust. This mass he created threw molten lava throughout the Earth’s ocean.
With Dystron’s outburst, He created land upon the ocean on Earth.

With Dystron’s outburst, He created land upon the ocean on Earth.
Seeing the hatred brought upon his magnum opus, Percessi begged the light to keep Dystron under control, and to stop him from destroying the things He had created. The light obliged, much to the dismay of the darkness, and banished Dystron to the earth’s moon for eternity. Percessi came back to the Earth distraught, but upon viewing what Dystron had done once again, he saw beauty in the destruction. Percessi wanted more to experience what he saw, and with this urge, he crafted life. He made his first child, Kylv. At first though, Kylv was just a vessel, a hollow shell of what could be. Percessi called out to the Light and asked for the ability to grant his first creation sentience. The Light obliged, and Percessi was given the ability to bestow any object life. He awakened Kylv, and they wandered the nearby cosmos shortly after. Kylv was also given the Lights blessing, granting life wherever they went.
Percessi, satisfied with his success, went on to create more life. He started with simple animals, lacking any ability to feel, or die. Percessi kept making, more detail being added as he did. As time passed, Percessi realized the Earth's resources wouldn’t last forever unless He found a way for them to replenish on their own. He allowed His creations to die to ensure that the world would live on even if He wouldn’t be able to continue, He hoped the Earth would be self-sustaining. The consequence of death was giving the creatures the ability to feel.
